# Connecting YouTube

## Connect Your YouTube Channel

**What it is** — Connect your YouTube channel so Mochi can trace the path from a video view through to a DM conversation and a sale, and show that channel's video performance inside Mochi alongside your other attribution data.

**Who can use it** — Not separately confirmed. Every other integration under Settings > Integrations (Calendly, iClosed, Payments) is Creator/Manager-only on both web and iOS — it's reasonable to expect YouTube follows the same pattern, but this hasn't been confirmed specifically.

**Before you start** — A YouTube channel you own or manage, and the ability to sign in to it during the connect flow.

### What connecting YouTube does

* **Attribution** — traces a lead's path from watching one of your YouTube videos, through a DM conversation, to a sale, the same way Mochi already attributes Instagram link clicks.
* **View analytics** — brings that channel's video performance into Mochi, so you can see how your YouTube content connects to your Instagram DM pipeline without leaving the platform.

### How to connect

**Web:**

1. Go to `themochi.app/attribution/youtube-tracking` while signed in to Mochi.
2. Follow the prompts to connect your YouTube channel.

**iOS:** Not confirmed. If you don't see a YouTube option in the Mochi iOS app, open the URL above in a mobile browser instead.

### Tips

* Don't paste raw YouTube URLs into a DM. Run them through Mochi's link shortener first — you get click tracking and a cleaner-looking link either way. See Tracking Links & Attribution.

### Common mistakes & fixes
