# Notifications

## Notifications

**What it is** — Mochi notifies your team through mobile push notifications on the iOS app — new leads, replies, booked calls, cancellations, payment reminders, and team mentions — so nobody has to sit and refresh the Inbox to catch what's happening.

**Who can use it** — Everyone on the team. Push is a per-device, per-user iOS setting, so each person controls their own. iOS only — there's nothing to set up on web.

> Slack alerts are discontinued. Mochi previously offered a Slack integration that posted these same kinds of alerts to a connected Slack workspace. It has been retired and is not part of Mochi going forward. If you're looking for a Slack connection, there's nothing to set up — it isn't offered anymore, and it isn't coming back.

### What push covers

* New messages from your assigned leads
* Lead-window-closing warnings
* AI takeover and handoff — when the AI setter hands a conversation back to a human
* Team note and team chat mentions
* Team announcements

Most of these are on by default. The one exception: a Closer's lead-window-expiring warning is off by default, even for organizations where the feature is otherwise enabled — a Closer has to opt in explicitly. Notifications for a single conversation are grouped together so your lock screen doesn't flood.

### How to enable it

**Web:** Nothing to connect. Push notifications need no separate setup on web — they follow automatically from signing in on the iOS app.

**iOS:**

1. Sign in on the iPhone app and select your organization.
2. Tap **Allow** when iOS asks for notification permission.
3. If you tapped Deny earlier, re-enable it under the iPhone's Settings > Notifications > Mochi.

### Tips

* Push identity is tied to your user, not a single organization — one device gets alerts across every organization you belong to.
* If you're a Closer and want a heads-up before a lead's messaging window expires, turn that on yourself — it isn't automatic.
* If your team has a Slack Connect channel with Mochi's support team for SOPs and questions, that's a separate support channel — not an in-app notification feature, and it doesn't post automated alerts from your Mochi account.

### Common mistakes & fixes

| Mistake                                                 | Fix                                                    |
| ------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| Looking for a Slack integration to connect | Discontinued — there's nothing to set up or re-enable. |
| Denied the iOS permission prompt, then no pushes arrive | Fix it under iPhone Settings > Notifications > Mochi. |
| Expecting a Closer's window-expiring warning by default | It's opt-in — turn it on explicitly.                   |

### Limits & good to know

* iOS only; there's no web equivalent to configure.
* Closer's lead-window-expiring warning needs explicit opt-in.
