# AI Setter Wizard Setup SOP

The AI Setter Wizard is where you configure everything about how your AI behaves — its knowledge of your business, its personality, how it qualifies leads, and how it follows up. Take your time here. The quality of your setup directly determines the quality of your AI.<br>

### Step 1 — Business Identity

This is the foundation. The AI reads this to understand who you are, who you serve, and how to recognise the right leads from the wrong ones.<br>

#### Niche / Industry

Be specific. "Coaching" is too broad. "High-ticket business coaching for aspiring entrepreneurs" is right. The AI uses this to filter intent and tailor language.<br>

> 💡 Example: Aspiring Entrepreneurs / New Business Owners

#### Ideal Customer Description

Describe them in terms of where they are, what they're struggling with, and what outcome they want. The AI uses this to recognise a qualified lead mid-conversation.<br>

> 💡 Example: Coaches doing $5K–$50K/month who struggle to convert followers into paying clients

#### First Messages Prospects Usually Send

List the actual opening messages your best leads send. This trains the AI to recognise high-intent openers and respond naturally.<br>

* "INFO"
* "How much is your program?"
* "I saw your story about scaling to $100K"

#### How You Typically Open the Conversation Back

Paste your best opener here. This is the single most influential input for the AI's tone — it will learn from this and mirror it.<br>

> 💡 Example: "Hey! Thanks for reaching out — mind if I ask a few quick questions to see if we can help?"

#### Proof Points & Credentials

Add the stats and achievements the AI can reference naturally when relevant. Keep them punchy and specific.<br>

* $115M+ tracked client revenue
* Forbes featured
* Working with 4 biggest info-businesses
* Same offer 3 years
* Refuses most applicants
* 300+ qualified followers/day organically
* 3.7M views Jan 2026, 0% ads
* Nik Setting generates $250K/mo revenue

> 💡 The AI won't dump all of these in one message. It weaves them in naturally when relevant to what the lead is saying.

#### Who Is NOT a Good Fit

Be explicit about who to disqualify. The AI uses this to trigger disqualification logic and avoid wasting time on the wrong people.<br>

> 💡 Example: People with no business yet, under 18, just want free info, not the decision maker

### Step 2 — Conversation Goal

This single setting determines how the AI drives every conversation. Choose carefully.<br>

| <p>Option<br></p>       | <p>When to choose it<br></p>                                                                                                                                     |
| ----------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <p>Book a call<br></p> | <p>Your sales process requires a call before purchase. AI qualifies the lead and pushes toward a Calendly booking. Best for high-ticket offers over $3K.<br></p> |
| <p>Close in DMs<br></p> | <p>Your offer is low enough to close without a call, or you have a proven DM close process.<br></p> |

> ⚠️ For most high-ticket coaching businesses: choose Book a call. Trying to close $5K+ in DMs without a call rarely works and often damages trust.

### Step 3 — AI Personality

#### Tone Preset

| <p>Preset<br></p>                | <p>What it does<br></p>                                                                                                    |
| -------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <p>Casual & Friendly<br></p>     | <p>Lowercase, relaxed, like texting a friend. No corporate speak. Best for personal brands and lifestyle offers.<br></p>   |
| <p>Professional & Direct<br></p> | <p>Polished but not stiff. Clear, confident, to the point. Good for business/B2B coaching.<br></p>                         |
| <p>High Energy<br></p>           | <p>Enthusiastic, celebrates wins, keeps momentum high. Works for fitness, performance, or high-energy communities.<br></p> |
| <p>Mirror the Lead<br></p>       | <p>Adapts to whatever energy the prospect brings. Most natural-feeling.<br></p>                                            |

#### Message Format

| <p>Format<br></p>         | <p>When to use<br></p>                                                                                                        |
| ------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <p>Short Bubbles<br></p> | <p>Multiple short messages sent in sequence. Feels more like a real conversation. Recommended for most DM strategies.<br></p> |
| <p>Single Message<br></p> | <p>One complete message per reply. Better for structured qualification.<br></p>                                               |

#### Formatting Preferences

| <p>Toggle<br></p>                         | <p>Recommendation<br></p>                                                      |
| ----------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| <p>Use lowercase<br></p>                  | <p>✅ ON — makes the AI feel human and casual, not like a corporate bot<br></p> |
| <p>Use abbreviations (u, rn, lmk)<br></p> | <p>✅ ON — reinforces conversational tone<br></p>                               |
| <p>Avoid emojis<br></p>                   | <p>❌ OFF — a few emojis read as warm and human<br></p>                         |
| <p>Avoid special characters<br></p>       | <p>❌ OFF — em-dashes and bullets are fine in moderation<br></p>                |
| <p>Avoid exclamation marks<br></p>        | <p>❌ OFF — some energy is good; just don't let the AI go overboard<br></p>     |

#### Custom Vocabulary

Your Phrases — words and expressions the AI actively uses:<br>

* bottleneck
* obstacle
* Add your own offer-specific language, catchphrases, or terms your community uses

Avoid Phrases — things the AI should never say or do:<br>

* Copy-paste openers
* Send walls of text
* Explain full offer in DMs
* Give specific pricing in DMs
* Let conversation sit 24+ hours
* Ask multiple questions per message
* Use excessive emojis
* Chase more than 3 times
* Send Calendly before Stage 7
* Use "that's not just X, it's Y" or contrastive metaphors
* Use rhetorical negation, rhetorical feints, or clever buildups
* Use repetitive structural patterns, poetic parallels, or formulaic example lists
* Sound corporate
* Send generic messages
* Sound needy
* Use the term "hurdle" — prefer "bottleneck" or "obstacle"
* Ask complex, multi-part, or vague questions that require extensive thought to answer in DMs

> 💡 The Avoid Phrases list is powerful. Use it to prevent the AI from falling into patterns that feel unnatural for your voice or that your audience dislikes.

### Step 4 — Conversation Flow

Four tabs: Openers, Qualify & Nurture, CTA, Follow-up. Each controls a different phase of the conversation.<br>

#### Openers Tab

How the AI responds to the very first message from a new lead.<br>

| <p>Option<br></p>              | <p>Best for<br></p>                                                                                                                                 |
| ------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <p>Personalized<br></p> | <p>Reference something specific about the lead's profile before asking a question. Highest conversion but requires context.<br></p> |
| <p>Direct qualifier<br></p> | <p>Acknowledge and get straight to qualifying. E.g. "hey thanks for reaching out, mind if I ask a few quick questions?" Fast and efficient.<br></p> |
| <p>Mirror and question<br></p> | <p>Match their energy and ask an open question immediately. Good for casual audiences.<br></p> |
| <p>Custom Template<br></p>     | <p>Paste your own exact opener. Best if you have a proven script.<br></p>                                                                           |

> 💡 Recommended: Direct qualifier or Custom Template with your best-performing opener. A clean, curious opener beats a clever one every time.

#### Qualify & Nurture Tab

Qualification Checkpoints — the conditions the lead needs to meet before the AI considers them qualified. The AI weaves these into natural conversation — it won't fire all questions at once. Add 3–5 maximum.<br>

* Do they have an existing offer or business?
* Are they the decision maker?
* Are they struggling with a specific problem you solve?
* Do they have the intent and capacity to invest?

Qualifying Triggers — the signals that tell the AI to shift into CTA mode. Add 2–3 clear triggers.<br>

* Lead confirms they are the decision maker and have budget
* Lead expresses urgency or readiness to move forward
* Lead has answered all qualification checkpoints positively

Disqualification Triggers — the AI moves the lead to Unqualified when any of these are true.<br>

* Lack of clarity about their own business or goals
* Focus purely on price or offer details upfront without qualifying first
* Expecting immediate done-for-you guarantees without understanding the process
* Technical issues or excessive reliance on bots for communication
* Unwillingness to schedule a call despite expressing interest
* Low commitment expressed during booking process (e.g. "only 40% committed")
* Seeking strategic partnerships rather than a direct client relationship

After Disqualification:<br>

| <p>Option<br></p>                        | <p>When to use<br></p>                                                     |
| ---------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <p>Politely end the conversation<br></p> | <p>Lead is clearly not a fit and continuing would waste time<br></p>       |
| <p>Send to a free resource<br></p>       | <p>Lead has potential but isn't ready — a resource keeps them warm<br></p> |
| <p>Keep talking, but no CTA<br></p>      | <p>Lead is on the fence — keep the relationship without pushing<br></p>    |
| <p>Remove from inbox<br></p>             | <p>Lead is definitely spam or irrelevant — clean up the pipeline<br></p>   |

Handoff to Human: Toggle ON if you want the AI to pause and notify a team member when a conversation reaches a sensitive or complex point. Recommended for escalation scenarios, angry leads, or edge cases the AI shouldn't handle alone.<br>

#### CTA Tab

Booking Link: Paste your Calendly link here. This must match the link integrated in Settings → Integrations for tracking to work. If they don't match, bookings won't auto-update the lead status.<br>

> ⚠️ Always send your Calendly link from inside Mochi — never copy-paste it manually. Only links sent through the platform carry the tracking token.

Booking Message: Guide how the AI frames the booking link. Keep it low-pressure and conversational. The AI adapts this naturally.<br>

> 💡 Example: "it's just a quick chat to see if we're a good fit — no pressure at all. here's my calendar:" — then link.

Post-Booking Message: Toggle ON to send a confirmation message after the lead books. Keeps momentum and sets expectations for the call.<br>

#### Follow-Up Tab

Timing Settings:<br>

| <p>Setting<br></p>                  | <p>Recommended value<br></p> |
| ----------------------------------- | ---------------------------- |
| <p>Delay between follow-ups<br></p> | <p>24 hours<br></p>          |
| <p>Max follow-ups<br></p>           | <p>3<br></p>                 |

After Max Follow-Ups:<br>

| <p>Option<br></p>                               | <p>When to use<br></p>                                                        |
| ----------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <p>Mark as cold, stop messaging<br></p>         | <p>Lead has gone completely silent — preserve your sender reputation<br></p>  |
| <p>Send one final message, then archive<br></p> | <p>Good for a last-ditch breakup message before archiving<br></p>             |
| <p>Keep for future outreach<br></p>             | <p>Lead showed genuine interest — worth a cold nurture sequence later<br></p> |

Follow-Up Scripts:<br>

| <p>Script<br></p>   | <p>Timing<br></p>                  | <p>Message<br></p>                                                                      |
| ------------------- | ---------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <p>Script 1<br></p> | <p>After booking<br></p>           | <p>perfect, you're locked in! come prepared with questions. talk soon!<br></p>          |
| <p>Script 2<br></p> | <p>24h after Calendly sent<br></p> | <p>hey did you get a chance to check the calendar?<br></p>                              |
| <p>Script 3<br></p> | <p>48h after Calendly sent<br></p> | <p>just checking in, any time work this week?<br></p>                                   |
| <p>Script 4<br></p> | <p>Cold Nurture — Day 1<br></p>    | <p>React to prospect story (no pitch)<br></p>                                           |
| <p>Script 5<br></p> | <p>Cold Nurture — Day 3<br></p>    | <p>Genuine comment on prospect post/story<br></p>                                       |
| <p>Script 6<br></p> | <p>Cold Nurture — Day 7<br></p>    | <p>Send relevant content (e.g. "did you see this? thought of you")<br></p>              |
| <p>Script 7<br></p> | <p>Cold Nurture — Day 14<br></p>   | <p>Direct check-in (e.g. "how's the business side going?")<br></p>                      |
| <p>Script 8<br></p> | <p>Cold Nurture — Day 30<br></p>   | <p>Offer mention (e.g. "we see this a lot. still thinking about getting help?")<br></p> |

> 💡 The cold nurture sequence is the difference between a dead lead and a lead that books 3 weeks later. Don't skip it.

### Step 5 — Train Your AI

Work through all 7 training tabs before going live. For each scenario you have two options:<br>

* Use Reply — accept the AI's suggested response and apply it as training data
* Edit — modify the response before approving it (teaches the AI your corrections)

| <p>Tab<br></p>         | <p>What it tests<br></p>                                                       |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| <p>Openers<br></p>     | <p>How the AI responds to the first message from a new lead<br></p>            |
| <p>Budget<br></p>      | <p>How the AI handles price questions before qualification is complete<br></p> |
| <p>Hesitation<br></p>  | <p>How the AI responds to "I need to think about it"<br></p>                   |
| <p>Competitors<br></p> | <p>How the AI handles leads who mention working with someone else<br></p> |
| <p>Qualifying<br></p>  | <p>How the AI digs into the lead's situation to assess fit<br></p>             |
| <p>Closing<br></p>     | <p>How the AI presents the CTA when a lead is clearly ready<br></p>            |
| <p>Follow-ups<br></p>  | <p>How the AI re-engages cold leads after no response<br></p>                  |

> ⚠️ Don't skip training. Every correction you make here improves the AI's accuracy for real conversations. Spend at least 20–30 minutes here on setup day.

#### Training Material (Optional)

Upload your setter playbook as a TXT or MD file. The AI will use this as additional context when crafting responses. One of the highest-leverage inputs available — if you have a playbook, upload it.<br>

#### Guardrails

Hard rules the AI must always follow regardless of the conversation. These override everything else.<br>

* Never mention a specific price or payment plan
* Always refer to the program by its exact name
* Never make guarantees about results
* Always route to a human if a lead mentions a legal dispute

> ⚠️ Guardrails are your safety net. Use them for anything that could create legal, reputational, or compliance risk if the AI gets it wrong.

# Agent Instructions
This documentation is published with GitBook. GitBook is the documentation platform designed so that both humans and AI agents can read, navigate, and reason over technical content effectively. Learn more at gitbook.com.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://themochi-app.gitbook.io/mochi-docs/mochi-sops/ai-setter-wizard-setup-sop.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
